We are calling this vintage piece a coverlet but it could be used as a beautiful tablecloth (as shown in the picture) as well.  It measures 72" x 55" - so would fit a twin bed, if used as coverlet.  Research points to South Asia (Sri Lanka or India) as its source.  The Arabic phrase, embroidered on it represents the first couple of words in Islamic prayers.
